Spa Review: Armani Spa, Dubai

It’s hard not to fall in love with the Armani Hotel, housed inside our favorite building in Dubai, the Burj Khalifa. The pairing of such an iconic brand with a the world’s tallest building seems a match made in (close to) heaven.

A little more down-to-earth than the sky-high viewing platforms of the Burj Khalifa is the Armani Spa. It’s every inch as ultra-chic as the rest of the Armani Hotel and restaurants, oozing its own unique brand of minimalist sophistication. The decor always impresses me with its considered use of textures and proportion, and unsurprisingly, stuns again in the Spa.

Speaking of minimalist sophistication, the corridors are minimalist to the extreme, so make sure you ask someone to show you where all the extra spa facilities are before your treatment. I love the aesthetic, but it’s easy to get lost wandering the dark corridors.

Armani Spa’s treatment rooms are drop dead gorgeous. We’re talking contender for best in the region. Even the foot bath is serious spa perfection. The rose and geranium oil I selected for my treatment was absolutely beautiful, lovers of Turkish delight will find it hard to resist.

The 50 minute massage was relaxing and the therapist friendly and professional. Bear in mind that Armani’s treatments come in 50/80 minute blocks as opposed to the traditional 60/90 minute allocations.

The relaxation room needs some improvement – with only four beds, it was full when I went to use it, and it lacks the privacy and comfort of some others. But why waste your time there when you could be doing some serious poolside relaxation instead? Chill poolside with an iced water and take in the gorgeous Burj Khalifa vista from its base.

Armani Spa is a decadent escape that Dubaians and visitors alike will love. Make sure you go early to enjoy the facilities to make the most of the Armani Spa experience.
