Where to Stay in Oslo:
The Theif

Where to Dine in Oslo:
Maaemo
Celebrating 7 years in 2017, Esben Holmboe Bang’s Maaemo is a veritable Nordic legend. Coming in at no.79 on The World’s 50 Best’s 51-100 list this year, this should be your number one stop for foodie nirvana in Oslo. Just remember to book in advance…

Pjoltergeist
As difficult to locate as a rogue spirit itself, a nondescript door leads to a (very) cosy basement restaurant with a menu that changes daily. If you don’t manage to book a table, rock up early and snag a spot at the bar (reserved for walk-ins). It’s the hipster hotspot of Oslo right now.
Rosteds gate 15 b, 0178 Oslo, Norway
Vippa & Mathallen Food Markets
At Vippa, a food market in an old shipping warehouse on the seaside much like Copenhagen’s Papirøen, you’ll find delicious food of all cuisines here, just not of the local variety…for that, head to the Mathallen food market where you’ll find brown cheese and reindeer heart a plenty.
Vippa: Akershusstranda 25, 0150 Oslo, Norway
Mathallen: Vulkan 5, 0178 Oslo, Norway
What do Do in Oslo:
Take a cruise on the fjord
Embark on a leisurely boat ride around Oslo’s scenic and serene Nordic fjord – just remember to wrap up warm. Ferries depart from the waterfront (just a short stroll from The Thief).
Visit Ekeberg Sculpture Park
Don’t miss this beautiful seaside park featuring works by many renown artists including Salvador Dali and the controversial Marina Abramovic, as well as Damien Hirst’s marble sculpture ‘Anatomy of an Angel‘ (2008).
